Course Summary

Make a fully operational interlined Roman blind with no visible stitching fitted to supplied chain mechanism, compliant with blind regulations. Including trimming detail to lower edge, integrated side returns, integrated rod pockets and cascade/waterfall folds.
- Assess and measure various window shapes including bay windows.
- Accurate calculation exercises for making of a Roman blind with cascade/waterfall folds.
- Learn accurate pattern joining and how to match the patten line to Pelmets.

Demonstration/instruction on how to make a Relaxed Roman blind, and a Sheer/Voile Roman blind.

If you are able to travel to us, we highly recommend training in-person at Master Soft Furnishers Academy, where you will receive individual tuition and guidance in a small class.
A deposit payment is required to secure your place on a course.
Balance payment is due to be settled at least
14 days prior to each course start date.
Option in ‘Your Account’ to make Part Payments towards the balance.
All course fees include designer fabrics, trim, specialist tools and equipment, together with a comprehensive step-by-step manual.
You will receive complimentary ongoing membership to our pre-recorded ONLINE courses, relevant to your ONSITE booking, including video lessons, business guidance and a supportive student community.
We provide refreshments throughout the day.

On completion of this course students will be awarded an Accredited Certificate.

ONSITE Advanced Blind Course
Through discussion, demonstration and making of a large Roman blind sample, this course provides students with the knowledge and skills essential for professional Roman blind making. The course is suitable for those with some Roman blind making experience and who wish to enhance their current skills. Students will also make a London blind sample with overlay trim detail, and learn about Relaxed and Sheer blinds.

We run an initial 1 day course ‘Roman Blind Course’ and this Advanced 2 day course naturally follows on where students learn further essential skills and techniques for the professional finish. Attending the full 3 days tuition provides a thorough skill set in making of professional blinds.
If you have completed our ONLINE ‘Roman Blind Course’ Accredited certificate, you are welcome to attend in-person our ONSITE 2 day ‘Advanced Blind Course’.
Likewise, if you have attended our ONSITE 1 day ‘Roman Blind Course’ or ‘Level ONE Professional Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings’ incorporating the same programme, we hope to welcome you on our Advanced blind course.
Our 2 day ‘Advanced Blind Course’ is the same programme incorporated in our ‘Level TWO Professional Curtain Making & Soft Furnishings’. If you would like to attend Level TWO and have completed both our courses Level ONE and 2 day Advanced blind Course, you only need to attend Day 1, 2, & 3 to be awarded the Accredited Certificate. The fee is equivalent to 3 days tuition – £597 (please contact us to discuss attendance options).
